Dale Yellowlees is the voice of track and field. People in Saskatoon know him as the announcer at the K of C Indoor Games.
Yellowlees has announced invitational Track & Field events across Canada as well as the Canadian Championships, the Commonwealth Games, the 1979 World Cup in Montreal and the 1993 Pan American Junior Championships in Winnipeg.
Dale has also coached high school athletes and was head coach of the Saskatoon Track and Field Club.
Dale was head coach of the University of Saskatchewan cross-country running team and an assistant with the Huskies in track and field.
As a distance runner, Yellowlees competed at Mount Royal Collegiate, with the Riversdale Track and Field Club, Saskatoon Track and Field Club and then the U of S Huskies.
For years he was a board member and president of the Bob Adams Foundation which gives track and field athletes in Saskatchewan awards, equipment and scholarships.
He serves on the board of the Sanderson Foundation in support of scholarships for Huskie athletes.
